This is my first time working on anything like this. I have a few sprites made and one ready to go, but whenever i put one into the game, it doesn't work properly. If anyone could lend a hand, I would seriously appreciate it.

I'm not certain what you mean. Did you read my fexp tutorial about how to format a sprite properly?

As far as I know, Mugshots can be put on the engine, but putting sprites are semi-impossible. For the mugshot case, read Klok's Ultimate Guide. I think it's in Tutorials.

Have a Good Day.

The case is with Mugshot. I have a custom one made and when i put it in the game, it tends to 'glitch' up and appear wrong. I have read the guide, and i currently have it open. I have gone through the steps of replacing Man6Villager with Eliwood, but I have replaced him with my custom mugshot, which acts up whenever the game is tested

Remember to edit this part of the script:
Face Sprite Data:
Edit the face on, GIMP I guess, according to the tutorial.

Have a Good Day.

Can you post the mug you're trying to insert?

I'd recommend you include screenshots of the mugshot in-game glitching up, it might be something someone's seen before and they could possibly provide a fix.

Muahaha, the mugshot is mine >=D Now that's strange, maybe you forgot to edit the emotion list. I don't know too much about the mugshot thing. I'll test with one that I have saved in my FEXP - Faces folder.

Ah, I see the issue. There's a huge empty spot.

First off, you don't HAVE to use the three emotion slots. You can use just 0ne, or two, or three, or expand it infinitely for more if desired. Also, this isn't transparent so that might have something to do with it.

Here are a couple templates I use, personally.

I edited your mug to fit into the second one and this is the result.

Now grab Cedar's mug formatter and stick this image in. Her formatter is pinned in the main FEXP directory of this forum.

Code:
'Gallade' => [[26, 33], [19, 51], [11, 9], 0],

and bam, there's your numbers!

Oh and don't forget to set the number of emotions elsewhere in that fexp script to 2 emotions.

Thank you so much! Works like a charm now! I'll remember to fix any problems on any other ones as well!
