First, this isn't a request topic. Don't post here and say "oh hey can I be a beta tester?" because the answer is no. Unless I know you well and you wanna make me an offer. Anyway, this topic is for those who are in the fexna beta group on skype (you know who you are). I'll be putting the project in there for now and we can all play around with it, but make sure that you copy-paste the folder elsewhere on your computers, don't edit the one in DB. Also note that though the filesize is quite large, the actual games made with fexna are only about 60-100 MB's in size, it's really the editor that is so large.

Any funny things you wanna share, post them here. Leave bug reports and the like to the chat. For example...

Yeti doesn't believe armor units should have limited mobility.

Anytime you see info on FE7x, you're also getting info on fexna in a roundabout way. FEXNA is constantly progressing further and further, and it's getting so many new features that it's worth it to wait.

I know it's worth the wait, that's why I'm currently waiting, I was just curious to see if I was going to see it anytime soon. I guess it's kinda normal to still not have a set date for a public release.

Gently prodding, since it's been a few months-- is there any kind of ETA for public beta, yet? This is something I'd very much like to get my hands on.

Oh yes of course the best solution to any FEXP problem is to just get FEXNA, progress is actually going quite nicely, I think currently YEti's working on making it more user-friendly, basically. Nobody knows when exactly it'll actually be released because FE7x itself takes priority most of the time (and there's not really a 100% clear goal on what state it'll be in for release), but do know that it's coming~

You've found me out. I'm perfectly content to wait for it, of course, but my familiarity with RPG Maker XP itself doesn't seem to be helping me get around the errors much. It doesn't help that I can only barely make sense of RGSS.

According to a bunch of skilled RMXP users, YEti RGSS and Enterbrain RGSS are two completely different languages.

Considering this thread hasn't been active for like 10 months and I am new here...

Has progress been made or has FE7X replaced FEXNA. I'm just waiting for character battle animations and wondered if they would be included.

FEXNA is still in progress. FE7x hasn't "replaced" it... FE7x IS the FEXNA engine.

If you look on the Serenes Forest version of this topic, there've been tons of posts. The project is definitely not dead. I use FEXNA all the time and the engine keeps trucking along.
