The event controlling this stuff is next to the first mage.

The location where it should trigger is at or below/left the space top-right from the two forts near all the mages.

Go ahead and move the other units, or you'll have some serious trouble getting to the event-triggering place.

I move out tomorrow and I may have some serious issues that'll slow me down but I promise I'll get to it ASAP. I'm not Yeti though and I can't read the code but once I see it working ingame I'll be able to give you an answer Wink

Working on this now. You got some weird shit going on lol. I think the new RN system is... hilarious xD. Character descriptions are funny.

I don't understand how most of that event is supposed to work though. As stated a long time ago, I've never understood area events, even after Yeti explained them to me. So take a screenie of the map, highlight/circle/put emphasis on exactly which spaces are supposed to activate the event for me (Because I am a retard) and I'll work on the rest of it for you.

Also, I think you may have boss themes formatted incorrectly. I'll check that too when I get a chance.

In addition, marc forbids ambush spawns, and that hero guy might be interpreted as such. Include a text bit like "Haha you got too close man, now I'm gonna gitcha!" or something.

I was not aware that ambush spawns were forbidden. I tried to talk to him about that on SF, but he hasn't gotten back to me.

Oh, wait, hero boss? Well that's kinda based on Cedar Nyx's thing. It's all, "Oh, so you thought you were clever, standing here to get some extra defense? Or maybe you got a boo-boo? Well too bad! No cheating!"

There are other "ambush spawns", though I somewhat got permission to use them.

Boss themes may be wrong, but they work... Except I took most of the boss music out XD

Anyway

Stepping in those spaces causes stuff to happen.

They're not forbidden, but you'll recieve a fuckton of criticism during his videos if you use them. I recommend not using them. They're annoying and they remove the element of strategy.

How do I make units spawn at the end of a phase?

Putting TURN START in a event title makes it spawn at the start of a turn. TURN END makes it during the end of a turn. Where it says TURN END 2, the 2 stands for enemy phase.
1 = Player.
2 = Enemy.
3 = Ally.
4+ = Etc.

So to make ambush spawns, make enemies spawn at the end of a player turn, or the start of an enemy turn. Otherwise, set the spawns for the end of an enemy turn.

Boss themes may be wrong, but they work... Except I took most of the boss music out XD
The format looks a bit clunky, but it seems to work so idc.

I'll get back to that pic of yours later. I just woke up lol.

Takes a while for ya to wake up, eh? I've heard of a special technique for "waking up", but I'm not sure if you'd want it.

But as for the TURN____, um.... Wow. Can't believe I didn't know that.

Isn't that the point? =D

I'll have it so that that last village in the bottom-left says something like, "If your leader dies, it's not the end of the world. You haven't lost the battle, but you'll never win."

EDIT: One of the fun things about FEXP will be the lack of savestates.

By the way, have you gotten to those forts where the AIs are supposed to change and stuff(the end of the demo) legitimately? Or would you rather I add the more recent version(without ambushing) for feedback?

Neeeeever mind. I don't know where I got those coordinates, but I guess you have to go from top-left to bottom-right. So I got it working.

That depends. Are you using FEXP 1.0.1 or 1.0.0? The newer one has a different method. If you're using the newer one, examine the indoor map and see how the boss works.

I'm looking at the newer one, but the indoor map's boss themes event is coded the same "clunky" way my whole map is.

More problems. Check out the dropbox and load the suspend.

Also I find it funny how my "clunky" method of boss themes is actually much smaller and cleaner than the one in your FEXP revision thing.
