Glad to see you're working on it again.

It seems like it could definitely serve it's purpose, though. Yay for pirates. Now would be a nice time to pull out the pirate song.

Oh, right, this thing exists. Have a couple competition maps:

I like the first one, though the placement of the lowest two treasure chests confuses me, and the tiles at the bottom turn me off.

The second looks pretty linear, but that's difficult to avoid sometimes. Will anyone ever compare to the amazing Prime?

The first one is imitating a FE5 map, which has the weird chest placement, IIRC.

The second one is an imitation of an Advance Wars map which is why it's so linear.
There's a reason I post relevant threads!

I know. I didn't have time to read them at the time. I apologize for my stupidity. However, there is still the matter of all those green indoor tiles on the first one where there were outdoor tiles on the original, unless I am mistaken (the bottom-left and bottom-right). Either way, keep on keeping on.

(Also, I've said this before: the majority of my criticism posts can probably be ignored) XP

That was me being too lazy to paste in some properly colored grass into the tileset (Normally the grass is unusable in the Renvall set).

And you can critique I don't mind. Thing is, most of the maps I post are contest maps and I don't really ever fix up contest maps after the contest is over.

I guess I feel like making things today. Ch6 of TRTR got a new map for the 2nd time.

Hey, that looks familiar. (herp derp)

I really need a new version of TRTR. I feel outdated.

I just realized I haven't posted any maps in ages so here's a nice dump of 'em.

All competition maps.

Nice. The one seems a little overdone on the forts, but dang boy, you're good.

Oh that one. It's actually supposed to be the entire continent from FE4 so the forts symbolize important places or something.

Oh, I totally see that now. I haven't had the patience yet to go any further than Ch. 2 in that game, so I didn't realise that at first.

Alright, so I need some input from you all.

Now that I'm on spring break I actually have time to work on my project. I have 2 maps to choose from for Ch6x but I'm not sure which one I want to use.

The first one is more picturesque to me while the second feels more functional.
OPINIONS!?

I definitely like the first one more, but you'd have to kind of explain what you plan to happen in the chapter in terms of units and such.

For the chapter, units will begin in the trees waiting for the enemy to get close enough for an ambush. If you move one of your units out onto the road before the ambush signal is given you get a game over (you've been spotted and the plan foiled).

I like the first one but I think it might get a little too constricted when it comes to moving peeps around.

Water you waiting for?
For you, love.

Maybe you could make all of this area surrounding the pond into trees. How many units?

Also, is there a way that if a unit steps into a clearing surrounded by forest, then it doesn't trigger the alarm?

Like the top two spaces here?

Probably somewhere between 17-22.

The alarm would be something more like this:

Where if a unit steps into one of those areas then it's no dice.

I think I'll just tweak the first one so that it's the same height as the other and has the same functionality.

Sounds like a plan. I think the top one would be more aesthetically pleasing to look at.

The mibbit chat is mostly reliant on my presence. I can't be online much during spring break because my internet isn't available so I won't be on as much. Best bet is getting on before 4PM my time and hoping I'm available during the weekdays.

Everything goes back to normal on april 1st though and I'll be online normally then.
