What if we stopped using these fancy shmancy graphical thingy bobbers, and just used animated stickmen in FEPS? You'd have weapons be a golden color, arms/legs be red, shields be green, boots be grey, and heads be purple.

Let spells and shit be all the nice animations they've always been but make actual battle sprites just out of stickmen! Eh?

Uhhh...no. How'd we make a stick dragon? A stick horse? No, i think we should keep up the sprites.

Besides, im right in the middle of making a riderless wyvern sprite! What would i do wit dat, if u dont put it in da gaem?

Um, yeah, no. That was a good idea for a raw engine, but for an entire game? Um, no. Not this kind of game.

Idk but the idea is so unique and brilliant that I have to mention it. You could always go pseudo-stickmens and kinda color in gaps and stuff! I'm telling you, PK mentioned it (Sorta) and I think it is brilliant.

I'd love to do this. YUHTITS kept saying in our chat how he was annoyed that I used his battle sprites, so this is killing two birds with one stone.

1. No more using his battle sprites, nearly all of which he's altered.
2. Something custom that nobody else has thought of. (Except Kay, but are you even making a FE game?)

I really think we should so this. Let's give TWO sprites a shot. Make a Jessica animation (Something girly and womanly) and a final boss animation (Something dark and sorcerous) then let's put them in the editor and see what they look like.

Terra might try doing the animations and importing, or ML can try and sprite them (It's not even legit spriting, it's fucking LINEART which is wtf easy) and then Terra will import them. Just trust me guys, give it a CHANCE!

Urg... Do you want pixel-thin people, or plain ol lineart? And should a cloak be transparent?

Come on. I mean lineart, kinda like these animations sorta, but a little more elaborate.



Thicken them up a bit and give them a little more substance, but keep the idea of being stickmans!

Lemme explain the reasoning behind this.

No offense, but ML hasn't done a "FE" job with his sprites. His sprites always seem to lack a certain something that official sprites have.

Other than ML for battle sprites, there's Terra, and she is only a novice spriter.

Unless PK leaps in here or Prime stops making his game, and that ain't happening.

Therefore, instead of making flawed horrible FC's that look terrible next to YUHTITS's wtf-amazing shit, let's do a WHOLE NEW ART STYLE and do stickman FE! It would be unique, it would be easier, and for all we know it could even be better! Imagine FCing a whole sheet in a day or two, for every class! Even the most complex movement would be easy to do because... they're stickmans!

I could see a stickman ninja, using their fists to do ninja leaps in the air and shit. Will people think it's awesome? Maybe not, BUT WE ALREADY BORDER ON THE FRINGE OF RESPECTABLE FE SOCIETY SO LET'S STFU AND DO IT!

Come on, do this with me and let's redefine fun games!

What hard work? There isn't a single animation in FEPS that wasn't made by YUHTITS lol. You never finished the James animations so they don't count. It's a brilliant shift that maybe even YUHTITS won't see coming.

The one where he threw the sword, which was Axe-user-y and didn't fit the name?

And only doing battle sprites would be REALLY weird... I say Xiao should be a different game with an entirey unique art style.
